Andworx is hiring an energetic and driven Technical Program Manager who is eager to join a fast-growing company serving Federal government clients who deliver critical missions for the American people. As a candidate, you are a motivated self-starter who has excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a track record of turning successful program delivery into organic growth. You can turn gray areas into clear directions and enjoy working at the strategic and tactical levels to deliver results. In this position, you will oversee and be responsible for the exceptional delivery of multiple programs. To do so, you will directly manage teams of 4-7 people in technical roles, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor to our clients. You will work directly with the Andworx leadership team to identify opportunities to help our clients further, thereby growing the company, creating opportunities for your direct reports, and helping our clients achieve mission success.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program management, to include direct supervision and development of technical staff.
  • Experience managing and growing an account or portfolio of contracts, to include P&L responsibility, people management, and customer relationship management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and present ideas and solutions concisely and clearly across varying levels of technical knowledge to include non-technical customers, technical staff, and management.
  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent works streams and deliverables to successful results.
  • Experience creating project plans with technical team input, getting a team aligned to the plan, and delivering to the plan, adjusting as necessary to best meet evolving customer needs and business realities.
  • Practice an entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to distill necessary information from meetings and feedback into actionable tasks for others to perform.
  • Must be a positive, proactive team member who takes an active role in helping the team move towards objectives and milestones.
  • Prior experience leading or overseeing teams that develop cloud-based solutions using technologies that preferably include Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, or .NET.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous government contracting experience is preferred, with knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government acquisition processes.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Andworx will reimburse testing fees if you are interested in pursuing this certification but don’t yet have it.
  • Experience with and/or general understanding of Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as the PL-900, PL-200 preferred. Andworx offers a tuition reimbursement benefit to help you secure these certifications if you don’t yet have them.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Program Manager, you will:

  • Work across programs to plan, track, and execute complex tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Create program reporting and manage communications with the team, clients, and Andworx leadership.
  • Participate in new team member recruitment process, onboarding, training, and the career development of program personnel.
  • Serve as people manager for program team members, including conducting regular check-ins, having career development conversations, managing annual reviews, and providing continuous feedback.
  • Pay attention for and identify opportunities for organic growth on the programs you manage.
  • Connect technical team members to technical mentors within the company for skillset development and technical decision making.
  • Responding to client requests for administrative tasks.
  • Some clients may ask for or require occasional local travel to their sites in the Washington, DC metro area. This role may also include the opportunity for international travel to support OCONUS clients. If the latter is a concern for you, please apply and we can discuss options.

What success looks like

Within the first 30 days, you will:

  • Get acquainted with your direct reports, clients, and Andworx leadership, learning about their needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Establish a cadence of regular check-ins with your direct reports, clients, and Andworx leadership.
  • Learn Andworx and client processes, asking questions to formulate a strong understanding of how things work and where they can be improved.
  • Report back to Andworx leadership on your findings and plan of action for next steps.

Within the first 60 days, you will:

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your direct reports, clients, and Andworx leadership, promptly responding to their needs and offering proactive strategic advice for improvements.
  • Continue cadence of regular check-ins with your direct reports, clients, and Andworx leadership.
  • Implement Andworx and client processes to achieve successful program results.
  • Implement and adjust plans of action to achieve successful program delivery.

Within the first 90 days, you will:

  • Identify improvements to Andworx and client processes and implement them to keep achieving successful program delivery.
  • Continue cadence of regular check-ins with your direct reports, clients, and Andworx leadership.
